Born into a family of athletes, Alex grew up playing tennis and basketball. After achieving a USTA New England top 25 ranking after just eight tournaments, Alex won the New England Class A Prep School Championship to finish his high school career and, later, was inducted into the Brooks School Hall of Fame.
Alex played his college tennis at Boston College. Alex achieved notable singles wins over Clemson, NC State, Miami, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, Cornell, and more as well as a season ending NCAA men’s doubles ranking of #41 nationally.
Following college, Alex competed in the Boston Pro Tennis League at clubs all over the Boston area including Longwood Cricket Club.

Alex began his coaching career in high school, recognizing his love for providing instruction to young athletes. After college, Alex began his work at Brooks School, a prep school in North Andover, MA. Along with his role as a full-time faculty member and dorm parent, Alex coached the varsity boys tennis team for 10 years and the varsity girls basketball team for 4 years.
During the summer, Alex started off as Director of Tennis Camps at Cedardale Health & Fitness Club, managing a full staff, planning lessons, and growing the program significantly over the course of two summers.
At 26 years old, Alex was named Director of Tennis at Edgcomb Tennis Club in Kennebunk, ME, a 7-court tennis facility where he built a program from scratch, energizing the Kennebunk tennis community.
Four years later after completing a M.Ed. in Independent School Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania, Alex shifted from Edgcomb Tennis Club to Chatham Beach and Tennis Club in Chatham, MA, where he remains the Director of Tennis of a thriving summer program.
In 2021, Alex left Brooks School to take on the roles of Director of Tennis at Spark Fitness and Tennis Club, which was named USTA New England organization of the year at the end of his first year., and Executive Director of Serving Stars, a new USTA National Junior Tennis and Learning program that provides tennis, fitness, and educational enrichment to young people in Lawrence, MA.
The entrepreneur.
Alex is part of the founding team of a technology company called Clubcloud. In 2019, Alex, along with a talented team of tennis industry, business, and software professionals, began building an all-in-one club management software platform that not only provides racquets and fitness clubs with all the tools needed to maximize the efficiency of club operations, but also saves clubs time and money.
Clubcloud is revolutionary in its ability to manage multiple streams of revenue at large fitness and athletic clubs. Clubcloud raises the bar for software platforms in the fitness and racquets industry.
As co-founder and CEO of clubcloud, Alex uses his experiences as a coach and club professional to find the intersection between tennis and technology.
